Firstly to accept admission on jamb portals, the first thing to do is to login in to the jamb caps with the candidate's profile.
Search for the admission widget under which the admission status will be displayed.
You have to get familiar with the four terms used under the admission status which includes
ADMITTED
NOT YET ADMITTED
ADMISSION IN PROGRESS
RECOMMENDED.
ADMITTED:) That means you have successfully being offered admission.
The candidate is expected to click on the accept button or reject button as the case may be.
NOT YET ADMITTED:) This means the candidate is yet to secure admission. It could be that the school of choice is yet to update the admission list or the candidate is. of qualified for admission in that school of choice but he can continue to check if the school will update another list. Though the candidate can still be considered for admission by other institutions.
ADMISSION IN PROGRESS:) This means that the candidate has being considered to be qualified for admission but the candidate is still under review by the admission committee.
RECOMMENDED:) This also means the candidate has being considered for admission but is still under review and has not yet being offered admission.
